BFS Hosted the IGOM and GOC Meetings and Dinner in Bangkok

Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) hosted in Bangkok, the IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM), and the IATA’s Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) and Oversight Council (GOC) task force meetings.

The meetings were held in Bangkok from 22 – 26 February 2016 at the Novotel Bangkok Siam Square, and the first time such meetings had been staged in Asia.

The IGOM Task Force, is an operational, standard-setting group of airlines and ground service providers who are tasked to develop the IATA Ground Operations Manual. This manual is published annually as IGOM and is an electronic IATA publication used by airlines and GSPs worldwide with the aim to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across the industry.

Mr. Robert Ruesz, BFS General Manager Sales & Ground Services was present to welcome the IGOM meeting chairman, Mr. Max Corsi, Manager, Airport Operations & Safety, Air Transat and co-chairman Mr. Maurizio Anichini, Director Safety & Quality Assurance of BFS and Joseph Suidan, Head of IATA Airports Ground Operations.

Over 60 international IATA airlines and IATA Ground Handling Council (IGHC) members attended this meetings, including representatives from Bangkok Flight Services (BFS), Bangkok Airways, BAGS Ground Services and Airline Operations Committee (AOC), Suvarnabhumi Airport as special guests invited by BFS.

In addition, on the evening of 24 February 2016, BFS organized and sponsored the barbeque dinner around the pool side area of the Novotel Bangkok Siam Square as part of the meetings. The guests enjoyed several barbeque and Thai cuisine along with the live acoustic duo band.
