BFS Launch iPort Departure Control System

On Monday 8, August 2016, Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) starts using iPort Departure Control System (iPort DCS) in replacing AOT CUTE. The first flight using iPort DCS was VZ8802 to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam of total 176 passengers.

Mr. Robert Ruesz, General Manager – Sales and Ground Services of BFS together with Mr. Hans van Engelen, CEO of iPort observed the first iPort operation.

BFS have trained staff in preparation of this new technology since July 2016. With its own iPort DCS, BFS will be able to operate at check-in counters more effectively. The new user friendly system allows BFS to continuously improve the system to customize each Airlines requirements. iPort will also allow BFS to offer internet check in, kiosk and common check in facilities to its customers.

iPort is a web based application suite, created and provided by Res2, in association with Travelport.
