On Friday 22 July 2016, Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) organized ‘Suvarnabhumi Airport Cleaning 2016’ from 9.00 to 12.30 hrs. at the Bird Garden, to launch a trash collecting campaign and promote a good environment at the airport by collecting trash in 3 areas;
- Western Park of Passenger Terminal or the Bird Garden
- Eastern Park of Passenger Terminal or the Boat Garden
- Bus Terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport
This event was very well received amongst participating organizations. There was a total of 200 staff participating from 12 various organizations from Suvarnabhumi Airport as follows;

- Bangkok Air Catering
- Airports of Thailand
- Aeronautical Radio of Thailand
- Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services
- King Power
- Thai Airways
- Asia Security Management
- Suvarnabhumi Airport Cargo Clearance Customs Bureau
- Immigration Division 2
- Thailand Tourist Police Division
Mrs.Nutnaree Sodsai, Chairman of Social Committee, Bangkok Flight Services and Mrs.Chadanisa Chumnanvej, Deputy General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport (Operations Group 2) opened the ceremony.
In this event, the participants were divided into 3 groups from different organizations with the goal to help each other collect trash and also to help build a strong relationship amongst the organizations. Prior to collecting trash, there was a recreational activity which received excellent support from Bangkok Air Catering in supporting this activity. After collecting trash, awards were presented to the winning team who had accumulated the heaviest weight in trash. This was followed by lunch where all the participants joined together.
BFS hopes that this CSR activity will help create an environmental awareness of our workplace among the staffs working at Suvarnabhumi Airport. This activity was well supported by all participating organizations which helped made this event successful.
