BFS Organized “Suvarnabhumi Airport Cleaning 2018”

On Friday 20th July 2018, Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) organized ‘Suvarnabhumi Airport Cleaning 2018’ from 9.00 to 12.00 hrs. at Western Park of Passenger Terminal .This event has been held continuously for the 6th time. The main purpose of this activity is to raise environmental awareness among staffs working at the Airport by collecting trash in 4 areas;

  1. Western Park of Passenger Terminal
  2. Eastern Park of Passenger Terminal
  3. Parking Zone number 1
  4. Parking Zone number 4

This event was very well received amongst participating organizations. There was a total of 180 staff participating from 14 various organizations from Suvarnabhumi Airport as follows;

  1. Bangkok Flight Services
  2. Bangkok Airways
  3. Bangkok Air Catering
  4. Airports of Thailand
  5. Aeronautical Radio of Thailand
  6. Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services
  7. King Power
  8. Thai Airways
  9. Asia Security Management
  10. Immigration Division 2
  11. Thailand Tourist Police Division
  12. Airport Operations Committee
  13. Suvarnabhumi Airport Cargo Clearance Customs Bureau
  14. Suvarnabhumi Airpot Police Station

Mr. Smartorn Bhundhoombhoad, Human Resources Director of Bangkok Flight Services opened the ceremony and Sqn.Ldr. Yos Pungseesai Vice President Landside Operations Department Suvarnabhumi Airport of Airports of Thailand was representative to give closing speech.

Prior to collecting trash, there was a recreational activity. Then, the participants were divided into 4 groups from different organizations to help each other collect trash and also build a good relationship amongst the organizations. After collecting trash, awards were presented to the winning team who had accumulated the heaviest weight in trash and followed by lunch.

This activity was well supported by Airports of Thailand and Asia Security Management.

BFS hopes that this activity will encourage people to support, protect, and nurture the environment.
